Introduction to Oil-Immersed Transformer
The oil-immersed transformer is meticulously constructed with a core, windings, oil tank, insulation bushings, radiators, and more. The core is crafted from laminated silicon steel sheets to minimize eddy current losses. The windings, made from copper or aluminum wires, accomplish voltage transformation via the principle of electromagnetic induction. The oil tank, containing transformer oil, is pivotal for insulation, cooling, and heat dissipation. Working Principle:
Operating on the law of electromagnetic induction, it adjusts the AC voltage magnitude through the primary and secondary winding's turns ratio. Connecting the primary winding to an AC source generates alternating magnetic flux in the core, which induces a corresponding voltage in the secondary winding. Features:
- Superior Insulation: Transformer oil offers excellent insulation, effectively preventing short circuits between windings and the core.
- Optimal Heat Dissipation: The oil's superior fluidity swiftly dissipates heat generated during transformer operation, ensuring it operates within a safe temperature range.
